Political Intrigues with Madam Yolanda by Sarah Ladera Update by Deogani

The end result of the super typhoon Yolanda caused a total wreckage to the people, the land area and the whole lot to the Philippines. And upon the devastation, an issue took place specifically in Tacloban City wherein the worst of Yolanda was experienced. This issue talks about the City Mayor, DILG Secretary, the current administration and it also includes the help and aid towards the people...

The issue of “Negro Slavery” that happened in the United States as an example, in which the black people were the least previledged during the time and the nation lacked something very important which is UNITY that could contribute a whole lot in an entire country.

Way back then, if USA happened to experience a horrific devastation does it also mean that the Negros weren’t able to taste a bit of help and starved to death while the whites were able to enjoy the privilege of aids and went on with their lives ? But this was before Abraham Lincoln who once believed that all people are created equal.

..and as a Filipino citizen, with a badly devastated country, I have noticed that this kind of situation happened again but in other way around. This was when DILG secretary had his chitchat with Tacloban City Mayor.

[When asked by broadcaster Arnold Clavio if he did make that statement, he replied: “Is it not true he is a Romualdez? Is it not true the president is an Aquino? Secondly is it not true he said the local government cannot handle it on their own so he sought for our help?”Roxas replies does make it certain that he really told Romualdez: “You have to be careful because you are a Romualdez, and the President is an Aquino.” (manilatimes.net) ]

What did the Secretary possibly mean about this? Did he really mean that the Mayor is a Romualdez and their clan was once a pillar during the dictatorship of Marcos that’s why he has to be careful because the President can have him removed from the position? Is this really what it takes if the Mayor refuses to turn over complete control of the city to the national government?

The involvement of politics about this issue is really a bullcrap. Why don’t just people forget about the past family oppositions and help each and every people and places devastated by the super typhoon stand on their feet without if’s and but’s? By then the country would be at least able to recover from this deep down situation in which no one is responsible but instead everybody is the victim.

Ang mahirap kay Pinoy ay no forgiveness. Lahat ng kalaban niya ay pinatalsik sa kanyang trono. Anong presidente iyan mga dude? I THINK WE WON ‘T BE SURPRISED SINCE EVEN THE LAND REFORM THE MANAGED TO EXEMPT THEORY HACIENDA. The are not pro-people. They proprietary wants to control everything.
